On her way to a Palm Springs resort, DR. HOLLY PIERPONT (42) calls her husband RUSSELL (?) claiming to be at a conference in Santa Barbara. She then calls Everett, a student of hers she’s having an affair with. He’s the one who booked the resort for them. Holly arrives, checks in with the assistance of RODRIGO (early 20s), a hotel worker. While waiting for Everett to show up, Holly discovers a blindfold, handcuffs. Intrigued, she puts them on. A figure she believes to be Everett enters and sexually assaults her. But it is actually Russell and EVERETT (28) witnessed the whole thing. Russell takes Everett aside and tells him he can’t tell Holly, nor can either Everett or Holly leave the room. If either of those things happen, Russell will harm Everett’s wife Lydia and their child.
