An academically gifted ninth grader with a major crush on President John Kennedy is devastated by his death on the same day she stages a brutal retaliation against the girl who has been bullying her. Meanwhile, the girl’s uncle, who, unknown to anybody but Lee Harvey Oswald, is a conspirator in the president’s killing, comes for a surprise visit.
Following the assassination of President Kennedy, a bright ninth grader prone to acts of violence fears that her beloved uncle may be involved with the crime.
After JFK is assassinated, a 13-year-old girl begins to suspect that her uncle may have had a part to play in the murder, leading her to investigate and choose whether to keep the cycle of familial violence going or break it.

Patty destroys all the evidence that she was in the bathroom and leaves.

News of Kennedy being shot spreads through the school. Patty, who adores Kennedy, races home. Miranda comes out of the bathroom and runs into a teacher. Injured, Miranda must be hospitalized.

During this time, Agents PRESSER (30s) and LOREN (30s) investigate Kennedy’s murder on behalf of HARBECK MCGAVIN (50s), a military fixer.
