SUZETTE SCHIAZZA (20s) brings her boyfriend, MARK (20s), to a family party. Her father, RICHARD SCHIAZZA (50), is grilling outside when he meets Mark. Immediately, Richard believes that Mark is not good enough for Suzette. Richard slips food into Mark's pocket. Richard's dogs then chase after Mark for the food. Mark flees the house.
Frustrated and realizing she has lost another boyfriend, Suzette leaves the party. She goes to the hair salon where she works. Her coworker, JULIE (20s), offers to set Suzette up with TERRY (20s). Suzette is not interested, though.
Meanwhile, LAURA SCHIAZZA (40s), Suzette's mother, cheats on Richard with WILLY GRISTMILL (?). During this time, Laura later tells Richard, Suzette, and Laura's sons, JOHN (20s) and RICKY (?), about an opportunity to build their own casino. Richard is interested in using the casino to launder money. The family begins to plot to own a casino.
Suzette meets with Willy about a property. Willy reveals he knows of Richard's plans to use a casino to launder money. Suzette, realizing that Laura is having an affair with him, stabs Willy with a pencil.
Richard learns from one of his employees, BARLOW (40s), that the family is struggling financially. Soon after, though, Richard...
