After discovering that a baby reindeer has escaped from Santa’s sleigh, a girl ventures to return the animal in exchange for Santa granting her wish for her parents to reconcile.
A mischievous young girl discovers a lost reindeer that belongs to Santa, and she sets off to reunite the animal and its owner in the hopes of using the reindeer as a bargaining chip to force Santa into making her separated parents fall back in love.
After finding a rogue baby reindeer with magical powers, a young girl endeavors to return him to Santa in exchange for his help in reuniting her estranged parents.

In the small town of Tumbleyup in the expansive Australian bushland, MIDGE, 8, attempts to catch SANTA in the act of delivering presents. Unfortunately for her, Santa quickly catches on and uses a bit of magic to put her to sleep. Meanwhile, in Santa’s sleigh, parked on the roof, SPROUT, a small albino reindeer calf stowaway, pokes his head out from under Santa’s sack. Although he’s definitely not ready to fly, this little rascal is eager to be a part of the action and join the ranks of Santa’s most revered, particularly RUDOLPH, who stoically leads the pack. Sprout gets tangled up in the house’s elaborate Christmas decorations and falls into a bush below. Soon after, Santa departs, leaving Sprout behind.

Later, Midge’s father, GRANT, a constable, 30s, excitedly waits for his estranged wife, AMANDA, a marine biologist, 30s, to arrive. While it’s clear that he’s hoping for a reconciliation, Amanda seems to have moved on with CHRIS. Almost as soon as Amanda arrives, she and Grant begin to bicker. Midge is disheartened, and it soon becomes clear that it won’t be the Christmas she had in mind. As she storms back...
