In a not-too-distant future, where Hollywood relies on a sophisticated AI program to write all of its biggest blockbusters, a studio executive is dispatched to Silicon Valley to figure out why the program is unable (or unwilling?) to finish its latest tentpole. After being partnered with a quirky coder who helped create the software, The Exec begins to find himself falling in love with her… and back in love with the very thing that drew him to the film business in the first place.
