A border patrol officer living with his wife in a walled-off dystopian society finds that his life is one of torture and misery, and is recruited by the resistance to help them escape.
In 2030, when England has been separated into the prosperous North and authoritarian South, a border patrol agent in the South desperate to be free after his daughter is killed secretly helps out the resistance and befriends a border patrol agent in the North.
After the daughter of a man who's living in a fractured England is killed by his authoritarian government, he makes plans to run off with his indoctrinated wife to the enemy’s side in the North, where people are free.

Locations are set in England and include a village, various houses, forest, border, underground headquarters, military base, sewers, courtyard, armory, apartment, hospital, car, and education center.
In 2030, GOD-EMPEROR EDWIN VILIN (66) is a dictator who rules the Republic of England, which is at odds with the Union of Social Democratic England. In the Republic of England, after being caught stealing, CLIF (39) is punished by having his house set on fire. Clif asks a neighbor, RON (70), for help in saving Clif's daughter, EMI (8), from the fire. Ron refuses. Clif runs inside and tries to save his daughter while Clif's wife, FAYE (36), is worried solely about saving her portrait of the God-Emperor. Emi dies.

Months later, Faye and Clif still lived in their partially destroyed home. Faye is delusional and believes Emi is still alive. Clif works as a guard on the border.

Ron approaches Clif to apologize for refusing to help save Emi. Ron and Clif meet in private, and Ron tells him about the country’s brutal practices. Ron denounces the God-Emperor and says that they must flee North. Afraid of being arrested for treason, Clif reports Ron to government officials. Ron is beheaded publicly.

Clif's health starts to deteriorate. Faye and Clif begin to starve too. While at the border, Clif notices KARLOS (23), a guard from the Union of Social Democratic England. Covertly, Clif speaks to...
