A man is cursed to die thousands of times after stealing from a woman and her son, and the only way to lift the curse is to right the wrongs he committed through the lives of others fated to die.
Cursed to die over and over again, a criminal inhabits bodies and rights wrongs in order to lift his curse and die one last time with his newfound love.

Present Day, About A Week.
Several locations. Prison, prison bus, bleak apartment, bar, parole offices, apartment building (religious apartment with coat room), streets, roofs, alleys, tunnel to "The Light", building ledge, Arkansas parking lot (trailer), pawn shop, nice car, donut shop, coin dealer shop. Shorter scenes in hot dog vendor, Chinese deli, elevator, limo, motorcade, crashing plane, nice apartment, subway, fire escapes, African savanna, ocean, beach, launching pad, SWAT van, community center, hotels.
Newly released from jail, rascal MORTIE (30s) comes home only to learn from his deadbeat friend SAL (Adult) that they’re both broke and evicted. Mortie’s darling parole officer MADDY (Adult) will save the world but not Mortie, so Mortie settles for a supposedly easy robbing gig with dangerous BONES (Adult).

Mortie and Bones aim to steal rare coins from devout mama ROSITA HOUSTON (50s) and her intimidating son CURTIS (Adult). Though Mortie and Bones agree not to cross each other, Mortie plans to raid Rosita alone earlier than planned and puts the blame on Sal.

As Rosita’s family plans to go to church, Mortie sneaks into her apartment upstairs. Before Mortie can grab the statuette with the coins, Rosita sees him, but fails to stop Mortie. Rosita warns him not to take the coins and Mortie refuses to heed it. Rosita curses Mortie to die a thousand times for each coin.

Curtis and Bones chase Mortie as he escapes the house, jumping rooftop to rooftop. POLICE arrive and shoot Mortie and Mortie dies instantly when he hits the ground. When Mortie’s spirit starts moving towards the light, however, it reverses and Mortie is brought back to...
