Temperamental tennis champion John McEnroe is sucked into a dangerous and ludicrous law enforcement sting during Wimbledon in 1980.
While dealing with worthy opponents and personal failings, John McEnroe becomes embroiled in a risky law enforcement sting during the 1980 Wimbledon tournament.
John McEnroe is in England to compete in Wimbledon and hopefully defeat his greatest opponent, Bjorn Borg. But to meet his match he must first survive, as British law enforcement force him to investigate a mysterious criminal mastermind.
While competing during the Wimbledon championship, a young tennis player unwillingly becomes part of a high-profile, drug dealer's plot to pull off a high stakes robbery.

Wimbledon, The Sting
Two weeks
The majority takes place in a hotel and on a tennis court. There are a few needed cars and limousines and a short scene at a rock venue. There's a lengthy set piece at a fancy museum and some scenes in the city of London, suburban streets.
JOHN MCENROE (21) looks to a menacing crowd that glares at him before hitting the serve...
Two weeks earlier, McEnroe walks through the airport filled with magazines covered with BJORN BORG (24). John boards a plane with PETER FLEMING (25). They arrive at Heathrow and a stout VANESSA HANSON (?) greets them, telling them all the touristy things they can do, one including a visit to a museum to see a beautiful trumpet, "The Cornet of Lugash", where the Duke banquet will take place. McEnroe and friends sight-see and run into LARS SIGURD (23), a former tennis player. Lars invites McEnroe to a concert and he grudgingly agrees. At The Vortex, McEnroe sits in the backroom while people do cocaine. A commotion builds outside and police barge through and take McEnroe in. TONY HEDGES (40) and ROGER NEWQUIST (50s) interrogate him, revealing Lars Sigurd is a drug dealer operating under a businessman named PHILIP ACHESON (60s). They tell McEnroe he must hang out with Lars to gain trust and information.
McEnroe struggles during his matches, sees Lars and hides. Two BUSINESSMEN (?) slip an envelope into Lars' pocket as McEnroe jumps in the elevator, running into a BEHEMOTH (?). Julie enters and they share a night where McEnroe...
