6-24-2020 - Per Deadline, deal marks Stieve’s first studio spec sale. He previously co-wrote the 2007 indie horror-comedy, Behind The Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon. No agency was mentioned in the negotiation, only the writer's manager and attorney at Greenberg Glusker.

Woods - gas station, restroom / trail / tiger pit / cabin / cave, garden. Venice beach.
KIRBY WILMONT (20s) watches DEAD GIRL WALKING, a young woman through the bars of a locked cell. SEAN (adult), Kirby’s older step-brother and a man with a skinny left arm and muscular right arm, unlocks the cell and pulls out her boyfriend, takes him into a nearby room, and revs up a chainsaw. Kirby looks away as he secretly gives Dead Girl Walking keys and she escapes. Sean is upset, not because she escaped, but because she escaped too early. Sean tracks her down in his car (called Judgement Day) and she lunges toward the car at full speed. While Sean kills her, Kirby quietly takes the girl’s MP3 player from her pocket.

Kirby leaves to wander through the surrounding forest. He walks with his dogs (MARS, PLUTO, and VENUS) to his literal man cave and garden. Before he can relax, he’s called back home. He travels through underground tunnels and enters their home from the floorboards.

After having brunch, Kirby and Sean go to the local gas station. RUMMY (adult), who runs the station, gives the duo food in exchange for stolen money from the people they’ve killed. As they wait, a car pulls up...
