Various places all over Los Angeles, CA. These include a tv station, fancy offices, a gym, a restaurant, a rooftop movie theatre, a bar, a farmers market, a coffee shop, a hockey rink, and a few houses/apartments.
A montage of romantic moments. TRICIA LAWSON (30s) interviews KEATON BROWN (28) about his dating app Meet Cute. He explains that the app sets up couples by having each person fill out a questionnaire. Based on their results the Meet Cute app will suggest places for each of them to go and meet on their own.
Tricia has lunch with her best friend HALEY MOSS (31). Tricia encourages Haley to join Meet Cute. Haley downloads the app.
Two best friends, THATCHER (30s) and RUSS PHILLIPS (32), prepare the food for thanksgiving dinner. Thatcher spills the cranberry sauce on his wife SIMONE (30s). Russ goes to the store. Russ gets hit by a rolling can of cranberry sauce that Haley dropped. The two hit it off and he pays for her sauce.
At the Meet Cute offices, Keaton talks to Russ about a new code. Russ finds Haley on Facebook and decides to go to a movie she's posted about.
Haley hooks up with ZEKE (31).
Haley, Tricia, and Tricia's fiancé MARCUS (30s) go to a rooftop movie. They spot Russ and invite him to join them. Russ and Haley go out for food. They laugh about Russ's odd taste in pie and Haley's decision...
