The narrative opens with an overwhelming sound coursing the night sky. Then, the narrative jumps to thirteen years later. All across the globe, are reports noting “The Rip,” in the sky. “The Rip” causes several awkward natural disasters around the world like a hurricane in Missouri, says BRITISH REPORTER.
Straying away from the media, THE MAN (60s) trim and fit with an unkempt beard, is digging through the woods and retreating to his rustic home. HENRIETTA WOODS, (12), wearing a t-shirt and cargo pants, is staring at the “The Rip” in the sky through a telescope. Henrietta cuts her finger on a bush, and suddenly a supernatural light surrounds her for a few fleeting moments before she rushes to tell her family members. BEN (9), Henrietta’s brother and deaf, and SHEILA WOODS (30s), discredit Henrietta and thus Henrietta succumbs to an internet community to discuss her findings, concluding that she witnesses an aurora.
Henrietta then drags her brother Ben along into the woods in an attempt to photograph the aurora when she spots The Man in the near distance. The Man surprised and uncomfortable being spotted by another human flees to his home without any words. The next day, Henrietta goes...
