Following her mother’s sudden passing, a queer black woman returns to her southern town to assist herestranged sister plan the funeral. Her trip takes a turn when sleep deprivation manifests visions of her deceasedmother.
A young woman who must confront her estranged sister, family, as well as her own insecurities around her sexuality after the untimely passing of her mother.
A grieving daughter is forced to return to her small town to make arrangements for her late mother while navigating the unresolved tensions between her and her sister who she hasn't spoken to in over ten years.
When a queer woman's mother suddenly dies, she is forced to return to her southern home town and plan the funeral with her estranged and conservative sister, but while there, she is plagued by hallucinations of her late mother.

TEMPLE (26), a queer black woman, and her mother, DELILAH (58), a soulful spirit, enjoy each other's company on the beach when a call from Temple's estranged sister disrupts them. Temple denies the call, and Delilah urges her to forgive AC, but it falls on deaf ears.

NIA (28), Temple's current kinda-girlfriend, appears unexpectedly hoping to meet Temple's other but is denied the chance. They break up. Delilah returns home and a few days later AC calls to inform Temple of Delilah's death.

Temple returns to her hometown, Augusta, GA, and for the first time in ten years comes face to face with a conservative AC (36) and her daughter DAVINA (17). AC and Temple go back and forth about where Delilah should be buried. Temple argues that it was her dying to wish to be buried in Dublin but AC urges for a place closer to where they live. Temple doesn't budge. Alone, Temple wrestles with sleep and hallucinations of Delilah.

AC and Temple host their aunts CHERRY (60Ss), DIXIE (50s) and ATHENA (50s) at Delilah's house as they make arrangements and reminisce. They agree to visit the cemetery in Dublin.

Temple accompanies AC's family to their son's TARZAN (Child), baseball game. Temple notices...
