50% in an assisted living home in Los Angeles. 50% in various locations around California such as a night club, a high school, a Koreatown apartment complex, a jewelry store, and a cemetery.
In 1998 a young girl AMBER JOHNSON (12), distracts a store clerk while her mother SAVANNAH (20s), steals jewelry. Later, at CICELY JOHNSON'S (60) house, Cicely kicks her daughter and Amber out.

Jump to the present, Amber (30) steals a watch while impersonating a jewelry salesman. Amber then goes to her real job selling hot dogs. Amber goes to a club and meets up with her ex-boyfriend JAMIE (30s). She gives him the watch. She refuses to help him steal a $2 million golden bird statue.

Returning back to her apartment, Amber gets a call from Meadow Lane Assisted Living telling her that her grandmother has suffered a stroke.

Amber goes to see her grandmother for the first time since she was a kid. Amber sees her face on the news and realizes she is wanted for the theft of the golden bird. VICTOR GREEN (40s) enters the room and Amber pretends to be a British doctor.

Amber confronts Jamie and steals the bird.

Amber climbs the fire escape into her neighbor NELL’s (17) room. She sees DETECTIVE AUGUSTINE SPENCER (30s) in the hall. Amber gives Nell the bird to keep safe. Amber has Nell make her a prosthetic suit to look like an old...
