It's 3 am in Chinatown and ROBIN (15) is sitting pensively on a city bench. She begins to rap to herself. A car with tinted windows pulls up to her and FRANK THE TANK (Adult) is occupying the space and she sells him a black plastic box with two pills inside. As she leaves, he asks, "what's your power?" and she pedals away into the night.
At dawn, ART (Middle Aged) listens to morning radio news in his beat-up car. He arrives at a train station, rents a locker, stores a duffle bag, and promptly exits the station.
Art arrives at an apartment building to meet NEWT (25), a drug addict. Art demands the name of Newt's supplier. Instead of answering, Newt takes two pills and emerges from the bathroom, naked, glowing, and on fire; everything he touches erupts into flames. An altercation ensues, resulting in the apartment being engulfed in flames and Art diving onto the fire escape. Newt sends Art flying and knocks him unconscious with a firey blast. When firefighters bring Art back to consciousness, they evacuate him and he sees, briefly, a man in a BLUE SUIT.
