MAEVE (26) is walking to her interview at AD-DICTIVE ENTERTAINMENT and bumps into HARRY.

MONTAGE sequence of them starting to date, having their first kiss, moving in together, and slowly drifting apart. They break up when Maeve finds a photo of a CGI porn star.

MONTAGE one month later, Maeve lives alone.she meditates, drinks, eats ice cream, falls deeper down a hole. Her friends, RAYMOND and MOIRA clean her apartment and are disgusted.

Maeve is at a car dealership. She asks a robot to do an inspection on her older car, and he says it's not safe, telling her to get a new one. She gets mad and leaves.

Maeve arrives at work and talks to her slutty coworker, BLANCHE. She runs out.

That evening, Maeve is home alone drinking and dancing pathetically. She gets a call from her sister, OLIVE, asking to meet her somewhere the next day.

The next day, Maeve is at dinner with Olive and her husband who is a hologram projected form Japan. Olive asks Maeve to be her first test subject for a programmable boyfriend, and Maeve is hesitant but agrees to think it over.
