In this steamboat era adventure, a struggling riverboat captain begins a partnership with a wealthy young aristocrat on a journey across the Mississippi, but soon discovers that the man is actually a vampire on a mission to free his race from their dependance on human blood. Together, they must embark on a perilous quest to unite the race of the undead with those of the living.
The captain of a steamboat on the Mississippi River enters into a partnership with a strange businessman, and soon discovers that the man hails from a group of vampires.
A steamboat captain partners with a benevolent vampire to take down malicious vampires who pose a threat to his ship and humanity.
A Mississippi riverboat captain must fight for the life of himself and his crew when he discovers that his new business partner is really a vampire.

70% steamboats on Mississippi and Ohio Rivers (exterior, deck, interior of cabin, engine room), 10% riverfront of Mississippi River, 10% New Orleans streets (Absinthe House, French Quarter), 10% southern plantation (library, ballroom)
In antebellum New Orleans, SOUR BILLY TIPTON (adult) bids on a young slave named EMILY. He brings Emily to her new master, DAMON JULIAN (adult), on the decaying Garoux Plantation. He has Emily dress in a fine brocade gown, and brings her to the ballroom, where guests VALERIE, ADRIENNE, CYNTHIA, RAYMOND, KURT, JEAN and ALAIN (adults) are waiting. Julian kisses Emily, and then suddenly starts to suck her blood. He pauses for a moment, before letting all of the other guests take turns drinking the blood of the young girl.
On the Ohio River, we see a little boat navigate through the fog: FEVRE DREAM. The boat ties up at the Louisville Riverfront, and the crew, including IRISH TIM, BIG JEB, and chief clerk JONATHAN JEFFERS (adults) unload and greet passengers.
CAP’N ABNER MARSH, owner and master of the steamer, meets JOSHUA YORK, a younger gentleman, and they have supper in the Grand Saloon. York is Abner’s new business partner.
Another ship, the SOUTHERNER, passes the FEVRE DREAM, and the two ships initiate a race. Abner runs to Joshua’s office, but Joshua, in a rage, orders Abner to never enter his cabin during the day, and drinks...
