A few days in the present with flashbacks to a few days in the 70s, 80s, and 90s
FBI field offices, Boston (streets and exclusive country clubs), San Marino, suburban Baltimore, rural New Hampshire, New York City (30 Rockefeller building), various offices, sailing boat
CLARK ROCKEFELLER (mid 40s) gets dressed in his Boston town house before heading to his exclusive club to have lunch. He is regarded with respect and admiration at the club and exudes the confidence of a wealthy man.

After dining, Clark is driven to pick up his daughter, SNOOKS (7), for his scheduled visit. Snooks waits for Clark on a street corner with the social worker assigned to supervise the visit, HAROLD YAFFE (mid 40s). When he arrives, however, Clark slams Harold to the ground and throws Snooks into the waiting SUV.

After riding for a while and calming Snooks down Clark orders the SUV to stop and hails a cab to take them to the Boston Sailing Center.

In a sleek office SANDRA BOSS (mid-40s), a commanding, cool woman and Snooks’ mom, gives a presentation. She is soon interrupted by her secretary who has Harold on the phone. Harold breaks the news that Snooks has been kidnapped by Clark. Sandy quickly travels to the crime scene where she speaks to Harold.
